Elements and Performance Criteria

  1. Create outage plan
  2. Implement outage plan
  3. Identify outage requirements
  4. Safety issues are identified, in accordance with Work, Health and Safety (WHS)/Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) and legislative requirements, industry standards and workplace procedures
  5. Date, time and expected duration of outage is assessed and confirmed from relevant information and statistical records in accordance with workplace procedures
  6. Schematic diagrams, drawings, plans or maps are consulted to determine area affected by outage, in accordance with workplace procedures
  7. Key stakeholders and/or equipment affected by outage are identified, in accordance with workplace procedures
  8. Status of plant and consumers affected by outage is identified and assessed, in accordance with workplace procedures
  9. Key stakeholders are consulted to determine timetable and contingency plan, in accordance with workplace procedures
  10. Disruptions to key consumers are minimised, in accordance with workplace procedures, by providing alternative routes of power generation supply
  11. Scope of work to be carried out during outage is evaluated against allocated timeframes, in accordance with workplace procedures
  12. Work permits required prior to and during outage are obtained, in accordance with workplace procedures
  13. Notification of outage is communicated to all stakeholders, in accordance with workplace procedures
  14. Complete documentation
  15. Documentation is updated, in accordance with workplace procedures
